Swale and Medway tuition for primary aged children: Home education, 11+, SATs, English, Maths and more.....

About me:

Hi, my name is Vanessa, and I am a Qualified Primary
Teacher with over 23 years of experience in teaching
children in the local area. I hold a BA (QTS) degree in
Education and have an enhanced DBS, as well as
training in Safeguarding.

I am a dedicated and compassionate tutor, committed
to supporting children in reaching their
full potential.
Whether it is preparing for life skills with Home
Education, the 11+, Year 6 SATs, or meeting 'expected'
standards; I strive to
instil a love of learning that lasts
a lifetime. Rather than focusing on teaching to the test,
I believe in taking a
holistic approach to education; the
child is the centre of what I do. My aim is to provide a
safe environment where students can make mistakes,
develop a growth mindset, and feel proud of their
achievements.

  • Tutoring can help identify and fill any gaps in a child’s understanding of a subject, which can prevent future problems from developing.
  • Tutoring allows for individual attention and instruction, which can be especially beneficial for those who struggle in a classroom setting.
  • Children who receive tutoring feel more confident and capable in their abilities, which can help boost their self-esteem and motivation.
  • Tutoring helps develop essential skills, such as problem-solving and critical thinking, that will serve them well in the future, both academically and in their personal and professional lives.
  • Tutoring can help children learn the topics of the curriculum better, and reinforce what they are learning in school, leading to improved assessments and test scores.
